A strong partnership creates the foundation that enables children to “fly” with their learning. The leaf symbolises growth. Use it to celebrate World Teachers Day at your school, centre, or community. Parents and children can write on or illustrate the leaves with a message on why they value teaching and learning then display them in a public space. Or plant a tree to celebrate World Teachers Day.

The need for great relationships was a recurring theme during the Joint Initiative working party visits earlier this year.

“Let’s reinforce the message,” says NZEI Te Riu Roa president Louise Green.
